2D Animation
In this camp you will write, animate and edit 30 - 60 second animated film using industry standard photo-editing, graphic and animation software with voice over and lip-synch. At the end of the camp you carry copies of your work home. Your film is screened at the Design Expo in fall.
During the camp you get deeply involved with the animation process; you use principles such shape, form, weight, squash and stretch, depth and volume, overlap and follow through, timing, action, anticipation and simplification in making your film; you apply character and background design techniques to your film; you create story boards and apply animation techniques such as tweening, morphing, onion skinning and roto-scoping with the use of cutting edge animation and photo-editing software. You create sound effects; apply lip-synch techniques and embed dialogue into your film.

Game Design (2D RPG)
In this camp you design and develop your own Role Playing Game, using RPG maker, an easy to use, game engine and industry standard photo-editing software.
You will be introduced to the basic building blocks of Role Playing Game design which involves story development; background design; puzzle, exploration and quest definition; definition of winning conditions and rules of tactical combat; health meters and collision detection. You apply the mechanics of level design and game mapping (using locales, stages or missions), architectural visualization, game graphics, animation and, math and logic in your game concept.
Design a Role Playing game; create 2D game art using Photoshop, make a multi-level fully playable video game using RPG maker and Ruby programming.
At the end of the camp you carry copies of your work home. Your game is showcased for trial at the TED Expo.

Use floors, walls and ceilings, window treatments, furniture art and accessories to plan and create ambience. Prepare computer aided architectural drawings and interior plans.

You will utilize industry standard digital tools, apply principles of colour compatibility and learn about image effectiveness in a specific context (websites, films, games, advertising, branding).

The 3D Arch is a two week interdisciplinary hands-on camp designed to acquaint students with the field of Architecture. The camp allows students to explore potential careers in professions utilizing architecture, visualization, construction science, landscape architecture, and urban planning.
Activities include one individual and one group project involving 3D design, 3D modeling, and hands-on construction using a combination of 3D printed and regular materials. Additional activities include aided architectural drawings, digital photo editing, site planning, drafting, construction estimation, landscaping and interior design.

Create remote controlled vehicles, machines and out
of the world (alien) moving objects using LEGO and Robot
C. Choose a project; then, design, build, program, test
and play. Work in teams to build a part of the robot
and bring together all the various pieces created individually
by all team members to complete the robot. Learn the
fundamentals of construction; learn about gears, pulleys,
motors, battery packs and computer programs that drive
your robotic creations. Learn about Adv EV3 and Robot
C, LEGO microcomputer, transmitters, receivers and sensors.
Learn about specialty LEGO pieces such as a touch sensor,
fiber-optic cable, caterpillar treads, and gear trains.
Use pre-created programs to make your robots perform
predefined missions and respond to the environment. Play

Take your innovation and engineering skills to a whole new level with this multidisciplinary camp combining 3D Computer Aided Design (CAD) with electrical and mechanical engineering and object oriented programming.

JAVA Programming
Code with Java and develop applications using Java programming tools, understand the basic to advanced concepts related to Java Programming language. Java is an Object Oriented Programming language. Throughout the course understanding of Java programming by learning the concepts and applying them to various Greenfoot scenario and Eclipse projects. Students will use the skills they have learned to work on Java programming, starting with the Java Virtual Machine and variables all the way to Java Generics and some of the Collection classes such as ArrayList and HashMap. Students interested with Modding, they may work on JAVA modding by adding their own custom blocks, items, armor, tools, swords, food, and releasing the mod.

Raspberri Pi Robotics
Design on Inventor and Solidworks, build robot using
3D printed components, program on Raspberry Pi using
Scratch / Python
You start with an industry standard 3D Computer Aided
Design (CAD) tool to draft, design, model and visualize
your project (an interactive object). Then you use Raspberry
Pi which is a series of credit card-sized single-board
computers. All Raspberri Pi feature a Broadcom system
on a chip, which includes an ARM compatible CPU and an
on chip graphics processing unit GPU (a VideoCore IV).
to power your robot with sensors to react to its environment
and actuators to act upon it.
You explore the foundations of object-oriented Programming
through the Raspberry Pi development environment and

You use industry standard software for editing, compositing, special effects, graphics and for adding music and creating sound effects.
