EMYC operates in four major program areas:
- Daily Hot Breakfast Club Program
Operated from Springfield Gardens-Peel Living Volunteers assist the coordinator to serve breakfast daily to give students a healthy start to the school day - Daily After School Programs - Free Programs
- To provide physical exercise through organized activities
- To offer recreation, leisure activities and leadership skills development
- Girls Club –Self esteem building, positive self image, basic cooking skills
- Basketball – skills and drills
- Music Program – Youth is given an introduction to the history of music and an opportunity to explore different genres of music.
- Art Program – Youth participate in a program to develop and enhance their interest and skills in this area.
- Express Yourself...Drama Series – Girls are given an opportunity to express themselves through the performing arts. This program encourages its participants to look for solutions for the issues that they may encounter in their daily lives.
- ALL About You...Series – Through the exploration of media and technology, youth is given an opportunity to develop communication, leadership and self development skills.
- Good Eats - Youth prepare a meal together and socialize with adult guidance.
- March Break Day Camp
- To provide a full day / week of social and recreational activities during the school break
- This is a weeklong program for children aged 6 to 14 years, which is held at neighbouring schools. Sports and creative activities are offered, as well as day excursions. A fee is charged and subsidies are available.
- Summer Day Camp
To offer a full day, structured program for seven weeks. There is a theme for each week with a variety of fun and creative indoor and outdoor activities including swimming. There are also weekly field trips to various sites in the city. There is a weekly fee, for which subsidies are available. - Special Events
- To arrange gatherings throughout the year for participants and their parents to build a sense of community and social responsibility
- Summer barbecue, graduation ceremony, holiday celebrations, fundraising events
