In this camp you will write, animate and edit 30 - 60 second animated film using industry standard photo-editing, graphic and animation software with voice over and lip-synch. At the end of the camp you carry copies of your work home. Your film is screened at the Design Expo in fall.
During the camp you get deeply involved with the animation process; you use principles such shape, form, weight, squash and stretch, depth and volume, overlap and follow through, timing, action, anticipation and simplification in making your film; you apply character and background design techniques to your film; you create story boards and apply animation techniques such as tweening, morphing, onion skinning and roto-scoping with the use of cutting edge animation and photo-editing software. You create sound effects; apply lip-synch techniques and embed dialogue into your film.
